Case study · Marketing strategy

From scattered efforts to one strategy.

Apollos gives churches apps, websites and giving tools under their own brand. Its marketing had plenty of pieces and no single plan. digifora built one strategy, then owned the work of making it real.

01 · The client

Discipleship that does not stop on Sunday.

Apollos is a discipleship platform used by some of the largest churches in America. Churches use it to offer scripture, prayer, gratitude and generosity in their own branded apps and websites, every day of the week.

The product was working. Churches like CedarCreek and NewSpring were telling their stories. But growth had come from a mix of efforts with no strategy behind them, and the team wanted more control over what came next.

02 · The challenge

A great product. No single plan.

Disconnected efforts

Roles, initiatives and budgets were moving in different directions. Social, blog and sales each told the story a little differently.

Real gaps

There was no newsletter and no podcast, and the blog was not pulling its weight in search.

A stretched team

A remote team across time zones needed a partner who would own the work, not hand back more tasks.

03 · The process

Unify. Fix. Add. Measure.

Simplicity was the rule. Every new channel had to make the whole system easier to run, not harder.

  1. 01

    Build one strategy

Bring existing channels together, upgrade what underperformed and add what was missing, all under one plan.

  2. 02

    Launch the podcast

Church3.0: branding, visuals, audio, a steady release schedule and promotion, hosted by Apollos COO Tyler Vance.

  3. 03

    Launch the newsletter

Concept, format and launch, then a move to a new email platform that cut costs and lifted performance.

  4. 04

    Rebuild the blog

Keyword, linking and technical SEO, plus a rotation of team posts and contributor voices.

  5. 05

    Add social proof

Customer case studies, from interview to published story, to show what churches achieve with Apollos.

  6. 06

    Automate and measure

Zapier integrations across channels, dashboards and KPIs, so every decision had data behind it.

04 · The work

New channels, one voice.

05 · The results

Simpler to run. Stronger results.

The dashboards paid off quickly. After a few months of data, digifora moved the newsletter to a new platform, and the numbers jumped in a single month.

The partnership keeps growing. In 2026 the work expanded into an approved brand voice guide, sales deck support, paid media in the new voice and product-led campaigns, with digifora advising Apollos leadership as a third-party peer.
